I mentioned in my post here that I was recently invited to the launch of the charity Partnership between Hilton Garden Inn, Birmingham and Heart Research UK, which is my chosen charity of focus for March.
The launch was hosted at the hotel, which is based in Brindley Place, Birmingham, where both the business community and charity patrons were treated to a lovely art exhibition provided by local watercolourist Sue Howells who is also an avid supporter of the charity, along with a talk from John Lloyd, Midlands Regional Manager for Heart Research UK.
Heart Research UK is a charity that touches Nicola Underhill, General Manager for Hilton Garden Inn, Birmingham personally.
“This is an exceptional local charity and one we are hugely proud to support. Heart Disease is a cause very close to us all, sadly, so it’s our professional and personal aim at Hilton Garden Inn to help raise much-needed funds and awareness of the charity throughout 2015. We have some exciting ideas in the pipeline – not least the upcoming Great Birmingham Run and DragonBoat race, both of which will have members of the hotel team competing and raising funds for Heart Research UK”
This partnership, like most corporate charity partnerships, means a lot to both the charity and the hotel and will go along way in raising awareness and funds for the work that Heart Research do in the local area.

Disclaimer: This is not a sponsored post, this is just my little way of making a difference to all those lovely hearts out there!
