One year on…

Hey,

My October Fav’s will be up this weekend, but I wanted to do a post one year on from my car accident.

A lot has happened since that day and I wanted to take the time to look back on the last year.

As most of you will know my car accident was one of the reasons I started this blog, as part of turning such a negative incident into something positive.

A lot has happened over the past year, some good, some bad and even some very bad moments, but I am a strong believer in everything happening for a reason, it’s just that sometimes we don’t know what that reason is.

Part of me believes that I survived in order to be able to do something great with my life, whatever that may be, but that belief has kept me going.

I am still suffering from my physical injuries, but less so with the emotional issues I was dealing with before and feel that I am ready reduce my medication and start leading a normal life again!

Some of the consequences of my accident was giving up my job as a fundraiser and also separating from my husband.

I have since found a fabulous job and it has become what I get out of bed for and I have also realised and become a lot more thankful for my family and friends who have been there to support me throughout.

The blogging community have also been a massive support to me and I feel that I have truly discovered a new version of myself.

There will always be challenges in my life and things that will put a spanner in the works, but I know now that I am pretty much capable of facing anything and managing any challenges that are thrown my way!

Remember, you can tackle anything that life throws you, it’s these challenges that make you who you are. Most importantly, a little saying from a little boy who has touched many lives ‘to make the most of what you’ve got’.

Lenny xx
